Greg Cipes, along with Cipes & The People, played on a Mardi Gras float for 200,000+ children, men and women in the Jefferson Parish of Metairie, Lousiana on February 8th, 2009. Greg helped kick off the 2009 Mardi Gras season by bringing his music to thousands of happy children.

The Krewe of Little Rascals Parade annually rolls along Veterans Boulevard from Clearview Shopping Center to the end at Martin Behrman. Our approximately four mile Parade.

Greg was featured singing and speaking about his role in the parade on the local news channel 6. This is Greg's second year in a row he has been featured as the Grand Marshall of the Krewe of The Little Rascals Mardi Gras parade. Watch for video clips of the parade coming soon.

Founded in 1983, The Krewe of Little Rascals is America's longest running, most flamboyant children's Mardi Gras Krewe in Carnival history. Named after the most famous Kids group, the Krewe of Little Rascals is a youth-oriented pre-Mardi Gras ball and parade which patterns itself after adult Carnival clubs. The Krewe was a vision of a couple who believed that the Carnival Spirit of the old New Orleans should live and breathe through our youth, as well as through our adults. Specifically formed for the youth's thrill and excitement in the greater New Orleans area, the krewe has been featured internationally on Japanese television as well as in the pages of the National Geographic.
